Obstetrical providers, clinical staff, and healthcare organization leaders are invited to this live webinar at Noon ET on May 8, 2015. Presenters Larry Shields and Eleni Tsigas will provide an overview for timely recognition of and effective response to preeclampsia and resources for health care professionals and patients.

Dr. Larry Shields will present preeclampsia information from the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) Pregnancy Related Mortality Reviews and emphasize gaps in our current treatment models. Dr. Shields will also review key elements from the CMQCC Preeclampsia Toolkit and outline a proactive approach to reduce morbidity in patients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP).

The webinar will also include a focus on pregnant women and their families, including the occasional need for mental health support to improve outcomes. Ms. Eleni Tsigas will present evidence-based education tools which are available to address patient and provider factors associated with poor outcomes.
