ISO standard 80369 calls for small bore tubing to have incompatible connections to prevent dangerous medical errors. The ENFit connector was designed to meet 80369-3 – the unique design for enteral feeding connections. Feeding sets with the new ENFit design became available in 2015. However, there has been a pause in the rollout of additional pieces necessary to complete the new, safer enteral feeding system.

Join our expert panel on Thursday, July 14 from 1-2:30 p.m. EDT, to learn the reasons for the implementation pause, possible solutions, and updated information on the planned rollout.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the reason for the enteral feeding system redesign,
  • Review the rollout timeline, and
  • Learn about the resources available to help in education and planning for the new connectors.
