The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released the calendar year (CY) 2022 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) proposed rule. Additionally, the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor and Treasury and the Office of Personnel Management recently released an interim final rule implementing the consumer protections against unexpected medical bills provisions (or surprise billing) that were included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.
