Additionally, the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor and Treasury and the Office of Personnel Management recently released an interim final rule implementing the consumer protections against unexpected medical bills provisions (or surprise billing) that were included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.
