ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

Reviewing the New Enhancing Oncology Model

The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) recently announced a new voluntary CMMI model focused on cancer care, the Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM). Under the EOM, participating oncology practices will take on financial and performance accountability for episodes of care surrounding systemic chemotherapy administration to patients with common cancer types.

The EOM builds on the successes and lessons learned from the Oncology Care Model (OCM) and feedback from the oncology community. Through payment incentives and care redesign activities, CMMI aims to test how to improve providers’ ability to deliver care centered around patients, consider patients’ unique needs, and provide cancer care in a way that will generate optimal outcomes and reduce costs. The model is set to start next July, with applications due this fall.

Watch this on-demand webinar to learn more about this new model and the opportunities it offers to advance cancer care for Medicare patients. Topics include:

  • How this model fits into the overall Innovation Center strategy and builds on lessons learned from the OCM Model
  • What types of key capabilities your organization will need to succeed
  • What your organization should consider when applying for EOM
  • How Premier can help with these strategic decisions
